Job Summary

Field-based | Full-time | East of England

Marshfield Farm Ice Cream is looking for a Sales Manager to help grow our brand across the East of England. This field‑based role gives you your own patch to develop – building relationships, growing existing customers, winning new business and ensuring our ice cream reaches more of the right places.

Location & Region

The East region covers areas from Lincolnshire and Norfolk down to Essex, including the LN, , PE, CB, IP, CO and CM postcode areas. Ideally you are based in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk or the immediate surrounding area to manage the territory effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute day‑to‑day sales activity across your region.
  • Grow existing customers, reactivate lapsed accounts and find new opportunities across leisure, retail, wholesale, distributor, catering, food service and FMCG channels.
  • Build strong customer and distributor relationships, maintain territory plans and use Hub Spot effectively.
  • Follow up after visits and pricing conversations, spotting opportunities to improve distribution, sales rate and product listings.
  • Represent Marshfield Farm at customer visits, trade events and exhibitions, sharing market feedback and customer insight with the Regional Manager.
  • Plan travel and use company resources responsibly, in line with our B Corp values.
Required Qualifications
  • Confident relationship builder with solid B2B sales experience, ideally in food, drink, food service, catering, wholesale, distribution or FMCG.
  • Self‑organised and able to manage a field‑based territory independently.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on growth without relying on price reductions.
  • Experience using CRM systems, particularly Hub Spot, and comfortable using data and customer insight to manage your patch.
  • Strong commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
