Security Officer - Aviation Catering Security

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE1 5DL

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 04:00 - 12:00
Contract: Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join a specialist aviation catering operation based in Newcastle.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining the security and integrity of food and catering products destined for commercial aircraft, ensuring compliance with CAA aviation security regulations and company procedures.

• Monitor food preparation and catering production areas.
• Ensure aviation catering security procedures are followed at all times.
• Apply and record security seals on airline catering units and vehicles.
• Conduct security checks in accordance with CAA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Report any security breaches, discrepancies, or concerns immediately.
• Work closely with catering and operational teams to ensure compliance standards are met.

• Previous security experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and referencing checks.
• Flexibility to work early morning shifts.

• £12.71 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.

• Must have resided within the UK during the last 3 years and be willing to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (Paid for and obtained by us!)
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Benefits & Requirements:

• Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
