Job Description

We are seeking skilled and reliable Fire & Security Engineers to join our team, specialising in the maintenance and fault‑finding of fire alarm and intruder systems across the North East region. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in line with industry standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carry out maintenance and fault‑finding on fire alarm systems, including but not limited to Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Hyfire, and Cooper equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with BS5839 standards.
  • Maintain and fault‑find on intruder alarm systems such as Galaxy, Menvier, and Texecom.
  • Undertake intruder system maintenance and diagnostics in line with PD6662 requirements.
  • Accurately log jobs and provide detailed, clear information using CASH.
  • Complete timesheets accurately and ensure they are submitted within deadlines.
  • Follow company Health & Safety policies and work safely in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota as part of the engineering team.
  • Drive to customer sites across the North East (full UK driving licence required).
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 3+ years consecutive experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industry‑leading fire and intruder alarm systems.
  • Excellent fault‑finding, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of relevant British Standards (BS5839 and PD6662).
