HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Newcastle under Lyme

Location: Newcastle under Lyme
Salary: Up to £21.04 per hour
Shift Pattern: Weekly rotating shifts

Early: 7:00am 3:00pm / Late: 1:30pm 8:30pm (+ alternate Saturdays 7:00am 1:30pm)

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our well-equipped, modern workshop in Stoke. The workshop has 5 bays, a brake tester, and is kept in excellent condition everything you need to get the job done efficiently. You ll mainly work on trucks, with some trailers and LCVs, including DAF, Mercedes, Scania, Volvo, and Iveco Daily vehicles, maintaining them to the highest standards.

There are currently 11 experienced technicians on site, many long-standing team members, and the culture is very supportive. You ll be able to crack on with your work, with minimal interference, in a professional, organised environment.

Your Role:

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and LCVs

• Work on DAF, Mercedes, Scania, Volvo, and Iveco Daily vehicles

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults

• Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards

• Keep accurate service records and follow workshop guidelines

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic

• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to safety, quality, and working in a collaborative team environment
