About the Role

We’re looking for experienced Bus Mechanics / PSV Engineers / HGV Engineers to join our engineering team in Newcastle. You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service — carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.

You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive workshop environment where quality, teamwork, and pride in the job come first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance, inspection, and repairs to DVSA and company standards
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment
  • MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
  • Road testing vehicles following repairs
  • Attending roadside breakdowns and recoveries when required
  • Recording accurate details of all work completed
  • Reporting technical issues and additional repair needs
  • Supporting continuous improvement of fleet reliability
  • Attending training courses to maintain technical knowledge
What We’re Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle, PSV, or HGV Maintenance
  • Solid mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
  • Experience working with buses, coaches, or heavy vehicles (car mechanics may be considered with the right qualifications)
  • IRTEC accreditation (desirable, not essential)
  • Full PCV licence (desirable, not essential)
