Recovery Coach – Newcastle Recovery Academy

Location:

1st Floor, Carliol Square, Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, NE1 6UF

Working Hours:

37 hours per week

Salary: £25,877.80 – £34,240

The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver structured abstinence‑based 12‑week programme
  • Support service users through the programme as well as develop opportunities for community inclusion and sustained recovery
  • Deliver non‑structured sessions to support readiness for the 12‑week programme
  • Deliver one‑to‑one support and review sessions
  • Manage a caseload of service users accessing the programme
  • Ensure safeguarding is in place including effective risk assessments and management plans
  • Work with wider partners to ensure service users have a wide range of support outside the programme
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need
  • Experience of working within the drug and alcohol field
  • Genuine interest in supporting people in recovery
  • Experience of managing a caseload
  • Experience of group programme delivery
  • Good understanding of harm reduction approaches
