Rebuilding your life after sentencing is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. With the right support, it’s possible. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Personal Well‑being Advisor – someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility to support people on their journey.
This is a demanding role; you'll be working in a challenging environment with people who have complex needs and may be reluctant to engage. When you help someone break the cycle and see them take real steps toward transforming their life, it’s a great feeling.
About the RoleYou will support a caseload of service users who may have been released from prison, are on a suspended sentence or community order. Based out of the office and local probation offices you will work collaboratively with pre‑release teams, probation and other internal departments to support them on their journey.
You will need to juggle multiple individuals at once, ensuring each person gets the support they need while keeping meticulous records of every interaction. You can often plan your own schedule, but you must prioritise effectively – it’s a challenging role where no day will be the same.
What You’ll Be Doing- Assessments and Action Plans: Complete personal wellbeing assessments and create tailored action plans for each individual, guiding them through practical well‑being activities to facilitate reintegration.
- Collaboration: Work as part of broader support packages, collaborating with internal and external colleagues.
- Caseload Management: Manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with related administration.
- Partnership Working: Identify relevant local organisations to enhance the service offering.
- Quality Recording: Maintain thorough, up‑to‑date records of all interactions on our IT systems.
- Relationship Building: Connect with people at all levels, building genuine, non‑judgmental trust and maintaining confidentiality and boundaries.
- Safeguarding Awareness: Recognise safeguarding risks when supporting complex individuals at a challenging time.

Keep meticulous records to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions. - Organisation: Handle a busy caseload and stay on top of detailed records.
- Resilience: Stay committed and see things through despite challenges and time lags.
Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting. Due to the time required to complete these checks, successful candidates will be offered a start date at least six weeks from the point of job offer, allowing sufficient time for all necessary pre‑employment clearances to be obtained.
