Newcastle Treatment and Recovery (NTaR) is a dedicated, multi‑agency partnership providing an all‑age drug and alcohol recovery service across Newcastle. As an Assertive Engagement Worker, you will act as a crucial bridge for individuals who may be reluctant to engage with standard drug and alcohol services. Your primary focus will be on assertively engaging priority groups in and around Newcastle City Centre.
Responsibilities- Act as a bridge between individuals and standard drug and alcohol services.
- Assertively engage priority groups in and around Newcastle City Centre.
- Support socially disadvantaged individuals navigating substance use and help them progress on their recovery journey.
- Proven experience supporting socially disadvantaged individuals with substance use issues.
- Strong understanding of trauma‑informed practice, professional boundaries, and the causes of multiple exclusion.
- Emotional resilience and a deep commitment to the values of Changing Lives.
