We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner to join the Non Case Holding Child Protection Team in Newcastle upon Tyne
. This full-time locum role offers a competitive rate of £34.45 per hour over an initial 3-month contract

What you will do:

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and consultation to frontline social workers on complex child protection matters.
  • Support safeguarding decision-making by contributing specialist knowledge and best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Develop and contribute to safeguarding plans, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Mentor and support less experienced social workers, promoting reflective practice and professional development.
  • Undertake specialist assessments and contribute to strategy discussions and service improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings, audits, and quality assurance activities to enhance service delivery.
