Adults Social Worker – Adult Learning Disability Team

North Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join its Adult Learning Disability Team on an agency basis, working within an Adult Social Care service recently rated Good by the CQC. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside transition workers, enablement staff, health professionals and partner agencies, supporting adults with learning disabilities and their families through different life stages using a strengths-based approach.

Key responsibilities include undertaking assessments, developing and reviewing support plans, safeguarding adults, completing Care Act duties, and working collaboratively with carers and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes, in line with the council's 'Ways to Wellbeing' approach.

The service offers regular supervision, manageable caseloads, a strong team culture and genuine investment in professional development.

Applicants must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
