This role sits within our Emotional Wellbeing & Mental Health domainin Youth Impact.

Your role will involve spending therapeutic time with service users and supporting a range of clinical, administrative, and supportive tasks as directed by a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or the Service Manager.

The required skills and competencies for this role are

• Ability to support in delivering low intensity evidenced based interventions under supervision to children and young people.
• Knowledge of mild to moderate mental health conditions to might affect children and young people (Including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties).
• Knowledge of the whole school approach to mental health.

It would also be an advantage if you have any of the following skills and competencies

• Experience of working within a brief intervention approach.
• Knowledge of Routine Outcome Measures (e.g. RCADS)
• Knowledge of local services and referral pathways.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing in schools.
• Able to support and empower children, young people and their parents/carers and families and their educators to make informed choices.
• Have excellent attention to detail, in all aspects of the role.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a teamin a fast-paced environment.
• The ability tobuildtrusting relationships and support young people with their mental health.
