SC CLEARED SOFTWARE ENGINEER (JAVA / CLOUD) NEWCASTLE, UK (HYBRID - 4 DAYS ONSITE, FRIDAY REMOTE) 12-MONTH CONTRACT UP TO £60 PER HOUR (INSIDE IR35 A skilled SC Cleared Software Engineer with strong Java and cloud development experience is required for an innovative organisation delivering cloud-based geospatial software solutions used in complex, data-driven environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications within a collaborative Agile Scrum team.

Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will contribute to the delivery of secure, high-quality software while supporting continuous improvement and best engineering practices. The role offers a hybrid working model based in Newcastle, with four days onsite and Fridays working remotely. KEY REQUIREMENTS Active SC Clearance Strong commercial experience developing applications in Java Experience building and deploying cloud-based services Solid understanding of unit testing and automated testing practices Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery teams DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE Dev Sec Ops  tools such as Tekton, ArgoCD, and Sonar Qube Kubernetes and/or Red Hat Open Shift Quarkus framework Front-end development experience with Angular Experience working within highly regulated or security-conscious environments This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team developing modern cloud-native solutions while working with the latest technologies and Agile delivery practices.
