Backend Software Engineer

Salary: £100, per year

• We require SC Clearance or eligibility to achieve it; experience working with defence sector clients is ideal.
• We are looking for someone with a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a top-tier or Russell Group university, supported by strong A-level results.
• We want a strong technologist who enjoys collaboration and problem solving on complex, distributed systems.
• We need strong backend coding skills; experience with C#, Java, Python, Type Script, or full-stack development is suitable.
• We expect experience with public cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• We value a solid understanding of modern software engineering best practices and the full software development lifecycle.
• We look for a thorough grasp of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.

We are based in brand new central Newcastle offices, where the team works onsite Monday to Friday with flexible hours between 0900 and 1800.
