The Role
As a JavaScript Developer at Revolution, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering bold, bespoke digital platforms for ambitious clients. You’ll work across a mix of custom web builds, complex integrations, and scalable platform development – helping us grow and mature our digital transformation capability.
While our core delivery stack is PHP, Laravel, Statamic, Vue, and Tailwind
, we are actively expanding our JavaScript and cloud capabilities. You’ll join existing projects built with Node, Type Script, React, and PostgreSQL
, and help us integrate these technologies more deeply into our wider platform ecosystem, where we see opportunity.
This is a hands‑on role for a developer who enjoys solving real problems, working across modern stacks, and contributing to architectural decisions – not just shipping tickets.
What You'll Do Platform & Application Development- Design and build robust JavaScript applications using Node.js, Type Script, and React
. - Contribute to bespoke platform builds and complex integrations, often tailored to specific client workflows.
- Work alongside PHP/Laravel teams to integrate JavaScript services into existing platforms.
- Build and consume APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Work within our AWS-hosted environments, supporting cloud-native application development.
- Contribute to projects using AWS services such as Lambda, Amplify, and Cognito (where applicable).
- Collaborate with Dev Ops and senior engineers to ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and production-ready.
- Write clean, well-structured, and testable code aligned with best practice.
- Participate in technical discussions around architecture, tooling, and future capability growth.
- Help shape how modern JavaScript and Type Script technologies are adopted across our platforms.
- Review code, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Work closely with designers, product owners, and other developers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment.
- Balance quality and pace in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.
You’re a confident JavaScript developer with experience across modern frameworks and cloud-based platforms. You’re comfortable working across different stacks and enjoy collaborating with others to build well‑engineered solutions.
You’ll need to bring:
- Solid experience with JavaScript and Type Script , particularly in Node.js environments.
- Hands‑on experience with React in production applications.
- Experience integrating with APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud-hosted application delivery.
- A pragmatic, problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- AWS Amplify, Lambda, or Cognito
- PostgreSQL and Post Graphile
- Working alongside Laravel / PHP teams in hybrid stacks
- Agency or consultancy experience delivering bespoke client solutions

The ProcessThe interview process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time.
Stage one is a 30‑minute Google Meet call

For stage two, you’ll be asked to complete a small technical task or walkthrough based on your experience. You’ll present this during a face‑to‑face or virtual interview, where you’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and meet members of the team.
