Graduate Software Engineer / Developer – Newcastle onsite – £35k+ Start September 2026

You could be progressing your career at a scaling Fintech, building sophisticated software for the investment management industry. Partnering with leading Hedge Funds and financial institutions, the company is developing technology that combines modern software engineering with complex data, analytics and financial systems.

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you'll join a small team of technologists working on the company's core platform using modern C# and .NET technologies. You will contribute directly to production systems from the outset, gaining exposure to architecture, system design, cloud technologies and the full software development lifecycle while receiving close mentorship from experienced engineers and founders.

This role is designed for intellectually curious graduates who enjoy solving difficult problems, learning quickly, and applying strong computer science fundamentals to real-world engineering challenges. You'll work alongside colleagues from leading universities and technical backgrounds in an environment that values technical excellence, ownership and continuous learning.

You will join colleagues in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 09:00–18:00 with some flexibility.

The offices are well equipped and offer views across the City and the local countryside. Onsite showers are available, and there is a diverse, social team atmosphere with many employees having recently relocated and plenty of support available.

• You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science from a top 10 Russell Group university, backed by A-levels
• You have coding skills with modern C# / .NET (other languages such as Python, C++, or Java may be considered if you are willing to use C# going forward)
• You are a technologist who enjoys collaborating and solving problems
• You have a good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle
• You have a thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals such as OOP, data structures, design patterns and algorithms
• You can start a full-time position in September 2026
