Embedded Software Engineer

Newcastle Upon Tyne (5 days onsite)

Salary: £40,000 - £100,000

Were supporting a growing defence technology consultancy building advanced engineering solutions for complex and demanding environments.

They are looking for Embedded Software Engineers across all levels, from graduates through to technical specialists, to develop high-performance and reliable systems.

Youll work on challenging engineering problems involving embedded platforms, low-level development, and secure technology solutions.

What youll be working on:

Developing low-level software using C, C++, Rust, or similar languages
Building solutions for embedded, real-time, and resource-constrained environments
Working with hardware interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN bus
Developing and optimising high-performance systems
Supporting secure and high-assurance engineering practices
Working with Linux environments, tool chains, and build systems
Improving system reliability, performance, and efficiency
