Senior Software Engineer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

The Role They’re seeking a dedicated and hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team. Working closely with product and design, you’ll play a key role in developing high-quality, high-performing features while taking ownership of core areas within the platform. You’ll enjoy the challenge of contributing to a product that processes large volumes of traffic and be an advocate for continuous improvement across the system.

Some of the requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar web development role Experience using the technologies mentioned above

An aptitude and interest in full-stack development

Any knowledge of the technologies they use is beneficial; experience of functional programming in a professional environment is helpful, though they are increasingly moving to Type Script, React and Go Understanding of database design, indexing, and related concepts

Knowledge of data warehouse software (e.g., Big Query, Snowflake) and related principles

Skills in data engineering, including ML applications, performance engineering, and data visualisation

Understanding of Test Driven Development Understanding of Git, Git Hub Actions, and CI/CD concepts
