Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
We are seeking a driven, experienced, and inspiring Lead Coach to head up our Girls’ and Women’s Football Department.
About the role- 30-hour contracted role with regular, structured delivery hours

Experience required- Minimum FA Level 2 / UEFA C Licence (UEFA B desirable)
- Proven experience leading or coordinating football programmes, ideally in a female football setting
- Experience coaching children and young people in structured environments
- Strong knowledge of female football development pathways and barriers to participation
- Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid certification (or willingness to complete)
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- A passion for driving gender equity in sport and inspiring the next generation of players
- Lead the Girls' and Women’s Football Department in line with club/organization values and objectives
- Work closely with senior management to shape and deliver long-term strategies for growth and sustainability
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all current girls’ and women’s sessions and programmes
- Deliver engaging and inclusive football coaching sessions to girls and young women (weekday evenings & Saturday mornings)
- Design and implement new projects or initiatives to increase engagement, retention, and progression pathways
- Manage coaching staff and support team within the department
- Liaise with schools, parents/carers, local partners, and community stakeholders to build strong relationships
