Yard Operative Permanent
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Basic rate: £13.46 per hour
Overtime rate: £20.19 for working weekends and anything above 8 hours per day
£26.52 for working Bank holidays
LocationOutdoor yard (own transport required due to the location of the site)
The RoleWe are recruiting a Yard Operative to join a busy outdoor yard supporting major live events. This is a physically demanding role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, handling heavy equipment and operating forklifts to prepare loads for site.
Due to the location of the site,
own transport is essential
.
- Attend daily 7:30am toolbox talks
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard
- Load and unload equipment using Counterbalance FLT / Telehandler
- Strap and secure loads in line with VOSA standards
- Inspect and maintain equipment
- Complete basic paperwork and adhere to Health & Safety procedures
- Overtime paid at 1.5x (after 8 hours and weekends)
- Double pay on Bank Holidays
