Class 1 Driver - Temp Perm

One of our clients in Newcastle Upon Tyne are recruiting in Class 1 drivers on a temp 2 perm basis, starting ASAP.

You will be working Monday - Friday and can be starting from 1300 - 0400 (times will be confirmed with you), this will be 45 hours per week.

Your day to day role will include loading and unloading of the delivery vehicles ensuring the correct documentation is in place, ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, logical manner, ensuring compliance with contractual targets. Moving and sorting freight in the warehouse as instructed. Ability to work at pace and understand written English (numbers and words).

Undertake delivery, collections and/or trunking as instructed, adhering strictly to the Transport Law.

Fully ADR qualified (preferable) - training will be provided for the right candidate.

• £16.00 basic (PAYE), enhanced rate for any overtime or after 6pm.

• Valid Cat C+E/Class 1 entitlement on their licence
• Valid digital tachograph
• Valid CPC Card

This is a temp to perm role meaning that after 12 weeks you will go permanent with the client.
