Warehouse Operative

Job Description

Role:
To provide efficient and excellent customer service as part of the Warehouse team responsible for picking, packing of products for orders. This role will also include delivery driving to our customers on an ad hoc basis and general duties in the warehouse.

Salary £24,000-£26,000 depending on experience

Reporting to:
Operations Manager

• Picking, packing and collating of orders for customers using scanners or paper lists
• Making sure all orders are labelled and stored correctly
• Complete necessary paperwork and use computer system when necessary.
• Checking of stock quantities and dates as required.
• Loading of delivery vehicles when required, ensuring correct paperwork & quantities
• Checking of temperatures on chilled goods.
• Ensuring all areas of the Warehouse are kept tidy

• Ensure you and fellow employees are always working in a safe environment
• Follow company guidelines on all Health & Safety matters
• Carry out checks on any machinery before use in your day to day working.
• Product safety and quality: be aware of your responsibilities and accountability involved with product safety, legality and quality systems through training programs against company procedures and work instructions. Ensure that our products and services meet all necessary specifications before they leave the premises. Observation with a keen eye for detail is required.
