To oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily warehouse activities (receiving, picking, packing, dispatch)
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and on time
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
- Manage and motivate warehouse staff
- Allocate tasks and monitor performance
- Train new employees and conduct briefings
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Perform regular stock checks and audits
- Ensure compliance with UK health & safety regulations
- Conduct safety checks and enforce procedures
- Report incidents and implement improvements
- Liaise with transport teams and suppliers
- Schedule deliveries and dispatches
- Ensure timely loading/unloading
- Experience in warehouse or logistics environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift licence (e.g., Counterbalance/Reach)
- Understanding of KPI tracking
- Experience with inventory software
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Warehousing & Storage (preferred but not required)
