Production Support Operator – Temporary Contract

Pay rate £16.14 per hour (PAYE), 37 hours per week.

Location:

Newcastle upon Tyne.

• Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries and customer returns.
• Unload vehicles safely and check deliveries against documentation.
• Book stock into inventory management systems and maintain accurate records.
• Organise and manage storage locations to maximise efficiency and accessibility.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch to customers and suppliers.
• Support stock control activities, including cycle counts, stock checks and audits.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and inventory‑related issues.
• Coordinate the movement of materials between goods‑in, storage and operational teams.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Support vehicle marshalling activities on site.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Service Centre.

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Valid Overhead Crane certification.
• Vehicle Marshalling certification or demonstrable experience.
• Previous experience within warehouse, logistics, stores, inventory control or service centre environments.
• Experience using warehouse management, inventory control or ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of stock management and inventory accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive team‑focused attitude.
