Warehouse Shop Picker - Immediate Starts Available

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, for day shift, rising to £12.91 per hour after 12 weeks. Enhanced pay rates for Backs, Nights, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The Best Connection Newcastle is recruiting Warehouse Shop Pickers to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for ongoing warehouse work in a supportive team environment.

Previous warehouse experience is required, particularly experience working in a high-volume picking environment. Although experience using a pick-by-voice system is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.

As a Warehouse Shop Picker, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders within a busy warehouse environment. You will work as part of a team to ensure orders are picked efficiently and accurately and are ready for dispatch.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking products accurately using warehouse picking systems and scanners.
• Working to high volumes and daily productivity targets.
• Using a pick-by-voice system and headset where required.
• Checking picked products for accuracy and quality.
• Preparing completed orders for dispatch.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider warehouse team as required.

The shifts are predominantly

day shifts, 10:00am-6:00pm
.

During busier periods, there are vacancies available for:

Back Shift: 6:00pm-2:00am

Night Shift: 10:00pm-6:00am

The role is primarily based within the main warehouse environment. On rare occasions, you may be required to work in different temperature-controlled areas, including chilled or freezer environments. The PPE required for these types of areas, will be provided for you by the site.

Candidates must be comfortable working in these environments when required, although this will only be occasional.

We're looking for Warehouse Shop Pickers who have:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Experience working in a high-volume picking role.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• The ability to work efficiently to targets.
• Good reliability and punctuality.
• The ability to work well as part of a busy team.
• Experience using a pick-by-voice system is preferred but not essential.
• The flexibility to work occasionally in chilled or freezer environments.

£12.71 per hour, rising to £12.91 per hour after 12 weeks for day shifts.

£13.71 per hour, rising to £14.52 per hour after 12 weeks for back shifts.

£13.71 per hour, rising to £16.14 per hour after 12 weeks for night shifts.
