Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Reports to a Transportation Supervising Planner or higher.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Full time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday.
- P-4 (Engineering and Scientific) bargaining unit.
The Role
This entry level position supports the Motorcycle Safety program and other safety programs in the Highway Safety Office.
Examples of Duties
- Assist with review and approval of grant applications.
- Assist with processing of HSO grants, community college proposals, and reimbursement claims.
- Assist with project monitoring, review activities, and documentation.
- Conduct field monitoring of motorcycle ranges for safety compliance.
- Update Department of Motor Vehicles database for motorcycle endorsements.
- Support Program Manager with recruiting and training rider coaches, and oversee training sites.
- Participate in virtual conferences, webinars, and meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Meeting experience and training requirements of the target classification at completion of the training program.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Ability to acquire required knowledge and skill, evaluate and solve problems, read and interpret data, and use computer software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (e.g., planning, engineering, public administration).
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License with an M - Motorcycle endorsement.
- Experience or training in project management, grant processing, data queries and analysis.
- Experience in technical writing and editing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Salary Information
First year of training:
Bachelor's degree and/or qualifying experience: FS 15 Step 1 ($55,328/year). Master's degree: FS 15 Step 2 ($57,320/year). Second year of training:
General rate: FS 15 Step 5 ($63,306/year).
