Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T1802) - role at Target
Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $17.75 USD per hour
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while performing daily tasks.
- Assist guests in a welcoming manner to help solve their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their visit to Target.
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Promote and explain Target Loyalty benefits; direct guests to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services as needed.
- Explain and demonstrate Wallet and other Target App features to guests.
- Process returns following register prompts; involve leaders as needed to resolve guest issues per Target policies and procedures.
- De-escalate situations with leadership support to recover the guest shopping experience per policies and procedures.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage items as needed (gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
- Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests.
- Adhere to safety policies, ethical conduct, and compliance requirements; report hazards and address where possible.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders, and related returns; comply with applicable laws including adult beverage regulations where relevant.
- Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including fellow team members.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active environment that requires teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours or shifts (nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
- Effective communication with positive language and attentiveness to guest needs.
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks within time frames.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Attention to detail while multitasking.
- Ability to educate guests about products and services.
- Capability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; communicate on multiple devices as directed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed.
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; capable of lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
- Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; failure to work at least one shift within 5 months may lead to administrative termination.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Mobility to remain active for the duration of a scheduled shift.
