Union Power & HVAC Road Technician 2 – Sunbelt Rentals, Inc.

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a dedicated Pump & Power Road Technician 2 to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment on our fleet of pumps, generators, HVAC systems, and compressors. The role requires advanced technical skills, a strong safety record, and a commitment to high service quality.

• Diagnose and repair all mechanical, electrical, and electronic components on pump, power, HVAC, and compressor equipment.
• Perform advanced and complex repairs, including engine, generator, compressor, and HVAC system service.
• Lead and train other technicians when the Shop Foreman or Service Manager is absent.
• Maintain accurate work orders, service logs, and parts records.
• Adhere to all safety, EEO, and equal opportunity policies.

• 5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, diesel, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Mastery of load bank repairs and advanced operation of dehumidification equipment.
• Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and motor starting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

$40.57 to $42.57 per hour (hourly wage varies under the collective bargaining agreement for this location).
