PartTime Fleet Mechanic Evenings Weekends

The Opportunity:

High Pay, Flexible "Moonlighting" Hours, Heated Shop. Galecki Landscaping is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain our trucks and equipment. If you are an experienced technician looking to maximize your income outside of standard business hours, this is the perfect role for you.

The "Moonlighter"

Schedule:

Hours:

20–30 hours per week.

Flexibility:
Work must be completed after 3:30 PM on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

Setup:
We provide a fully equipped, heated shop with a lift. You do not need to haul your roll‑away box back and forth; we provide the tools.

Compensation:

$30.00 – $40.00 per hour (Determined by experience and diagnostic capability).

The Fleet (What You’ll Be Working On):
You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a mixed fleet. You must be comfortable switching between heavy diesel and small 2‑stroke engines.

Trucks:
Ford F-550s and Pickups (Diesel & Gas).

Heavy Equipment:
Caterpillar machinery (Skid steers/loaders).

Snow & Ice:
Fisher Plows and Sanders (Hydraulics and electrical).

Commercial Turf:
Scag Zero‑Turn mowers.

Handhelds:
Echo 2‑stroke blowers and trimmers.

Requirements (Strictly Enforced):
To ensure safety and efficiency, we require the following qualifications. Please do not apply if you do not meet the professional experience threshold.

5+ Years Professional

Experience:

Must be verifiable shop experience (dealership, fleet, or independent shop). Home/DIY experience does not qualify for this pay grade.

Diagnostic

Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic leaks, 12V electrical issues, and engine codes without supervision.

Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is required to test drive company vehicles.

Technical Versatility:
Must be willing to fix a chainsaw one hour and a Ford F-550 brake line the next.
