Business System Analyst

Overview

Zachery Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Analyst to support a mission-driven Department of Defense (DoD) customer in a full-time, on-site role based in Newington, VA. • Engage daily with cross-functional teams to deliver on customer requirements and ensure mission alignment.
• Communicate effectively across work centers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
• Support the development and refinement of systems and data collection processes to meet evolving customer goals.
• Analyze operational inputs and outputs to guide execution toward desired outcomes.
• Apply technical expertise and interpersonal skills to solve demanding real-world problems in support of national defense.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in planning sessions, briefings, and reviews to ensure transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Maintain situational awareness of system performance and provide timely recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with security, performance, and operational standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in systems analysis, operations support, or related technical disciplines.
• Familiarity with DoD environments and mission-focused operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with data analysis, process modeling, and systems documentation.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

• Experience with Service Now, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $115,000
• Contract Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
