The Conservation Authority is seeking a highly organized Planning Administrator for a 12-month contract.
Your role will include managing application workflows, assisting the public with inquiries, and ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation. Strong writing, interpersonal, and research skills are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer public inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
• Prepare communication and correspondence for the department
• Review planning applications for completeness and compliance
• Create application files and manage workflows in Share Point
• Assist in preparing reports and departmental metrics
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled or graduated in Planning or related field
• Strong public relations and writing skills
• Ability to interpret relevant legislation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Execute planning administrative tasks effectively while supporting the Conservation Authority's mission in Newmarket.
