Health and Safety Coordinator Ontario

Join Bird Infrastructure as a Health and Safety Coordinator in Newmarket, Ontario. This role focuses on compliance, training, and safety procedure implementation across various operational teams.

As a key member of the Support Services Team, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager. You will assist in maintaining safety policies, scheduling employee training, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your expertise in job hazard analysis and strong communication skills will support teams in improving safety standards and achieving COR status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with filing and record keeping per OHSA regulations

• Track and schedule employee training for compliance

• Conduct regular job site inspections and audits

• Create confined space procedures as needed

• Investigate incidents and prepare reports

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of health and safety experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of construction industry practices

• G driver's license required
