CGV is a third-generation, family-owned construction and development company based in Cochrane, Ontario, with an in-house architectural and engineering design team. Since 1975, we have delivered commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-residential building projects across Northern and Central Ontario.

The Role

CGV is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to work on projects located throughout Northern and Central Ontario. This is a hands-on field role that involves leading CGV crews and organizing daily work. On larger projects, the Site Supervisor works under the direction of the Site Superintendent. On smaller projects, the Site Supervisor may run the site directly, with support from a Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and work alongside CGV carpenters, labourers, and other workers on site.
  • Assign daily tasks and communicate work priorities to the crew.
  • Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries with the Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Read construction drawings, lay out work, and explain requirements to the crew.
  • Keep daily work on track and address quality or site issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a safe worksite and ensure CGV’s health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Report progress, site conditions, and material needs to the Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Complete site and safety documentation as required.
Qualifications
  • At least five (5) years of construction experience, including experience leading a crew or supervising work.
  • A background in carpentry or another construction trade is an asset.
  • Practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work on projects throughout Northern and Central Ontario.

CGV is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
