Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative for a temporary contract opportunity in Newmarket, ON. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with experience supporting orders, sales teams, and customer inquiries in a fast-paced business services environment.

This position is based in a smaller office of approximately 10 employees, offering a close-knit, collaborative workplace where teamwork, professionalism, and accuracy are valued. The Customer Service Representative will play an important role in ensuring customer orders, marketing requests, returns, quotes, and shipment updates are handled efficiently and accurately.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, supporting customers and sales representatives, and taking ownership of order coordination from entry through shipment and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

- Review customer orders for accuracy and determine appropriate corporate stock numbers based on customer descriptions or specifications.
- Enter customer orders and quotes into the system, including updates, additions, deletions, and other order maintenance.
- Create return goods authorizations, release subsidiary orders for shipment, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve order issues.
- Follow up on order status, shipping schedules, product availability, and expediting requirements.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and support ad hoc reporting or special projects as required.
- Communicate professionally with customers, distributors, subsidiaries, sales representatives, supply chain, and purchasing teams.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range provided: $45,760 to $49,920 per year.

- Employment type:

Temporary contract, approximately 3 to 4 months, covering a medical leave.

- Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to be confirmed.
