Youth Program Instructor - Fall/Winter/Spring - (26-119)
Working with the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team, means the opportunity to make a difference and connect with your community. We are looking for dedicated individuals who enjoy working with others with a passion to deliver high quality programs, events and services. One thing is for certain, you will love the experience and our participants will too!
Responsibilities- Lead programs such as:
Babysitting Training, Home Alone Training, Counsellor in Training, and Leader in Training courses. - Deliver course content in an engaging and enthusiastic manner, while meeting various learning styles.
- Ensure accurate attendance is taken at each class, and all paperwork is completed and returned to Recreation Programmer after final session for documentation.
- Meet with the Recreation Programmer to discuss concerns regarding the program, facility or participants, and any updates to course content.
- Work with Programmer and Youth Centre staff on-site to ensure proper setup of course room prior to the beginning of their course.

Job RequirementsPlease Note: Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement. The Town of Newmarket may offer opportunities for certification.
Disclaimer: Candidates whose Standard First Aid certification expires after June 22, 2026 must renew their certification through aWSIB-approved provider and obtain the new Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C certification at candidates own cost.
