Town Youth Programming Monitor

Become a Youth Programming Monitor at the Town of Newmarket and engage with youth to enhance their recreational experiences. Supervise activities and ensure safety at the Recreation Youth Centre.

This role with the Recreation and Culture Team focuses on maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for youth at the Youth Centre and Indoor Skate Park. Candidates should have a passion for supporting youth engagement through quality program delivery. You’ll have hands-on responsibilities, from assisting patrons to administering first aid when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor participant activity and engagement in programs

• Assist with equipment distribution and user compliance

• Carry out first aid and report incidents as required

• Foster an inclusive environment during organized events

• Assist in preparation for programs and clean-up operations

Requirements:

• 1-3 years experience with youth programming

• Certifications in First Aid and CPR-C needed

• High Five child development certification

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts
