Make a difference in the Newmarket community as a Theatre Instructor with a focus on performance skills. Engage participants of all ages through high-quality theatre programs and events.
As part of the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team, you will design and deliver theatre classes for preschoolers to adults, covering areas such as acting and improv. This role emphasizes individualized learning, ensuring each participant develops their skills effectively through well-structured programs tailored to their level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver diverse theatre-based programs
• Assist Recreation and Cultural Programmers with promotions
• Maintain attendance records and complete necessary paperwork
• Provide a program plan detailing necessary equipment
• Communicate with participants and parents to address concerns
Requirements:
• Experience in theatre-related program development
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
