Student Transition Officer at Waterloo

Enhance student engagement as the Student Transition and Engagement Officer at the University of Waterloo, where innovation meets support. Drive initiatives that promote student success from admission to graduation.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with the Faculty of Health and other departments to facilitate programs that support first-year Health students. Your focus will be on aiding students in developing academic and professional skills for a vibrant university experience. You will lead orientation efforts, supervise student leaders, and engage in continuous improvement of student programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop programs assisting first-year students’ adaptation

• Supervise and mentor over 100 student volunteers

• Collaborate on the Waterloo Ready program

• Analyze surveys to improve student services

• Coordinate graduate studies and convocation events

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health or related field

• Experience in student engagement and communications

• Strong project management skills

• Proficiency in MS Office tools

• Current standard level of first aid certification
