Water and Wastewater Engineer York Region

Contribute to impactful projects in water and wastewater planning with York Region. As a Water and Wastewater Planning Engineer, you will lead technical analyses and support crucial master plan updates.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Project Manager in Capital Planning, focusing on managing projects and studies related to the Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update. You will maintain hydraulic models, analyze different scenarios, and provide technical advice for regional water systems. Your insights will shape the implementation of vital projects and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage diverse projects within master planning activities

• Maintain and update hydraulic models for planning

• Prepare terms of reference and manage project schedules

• Support reviews of new developments and infrastructure impacts

• Conduct technical analysis of water system capacity
Requirements:

• University degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering

• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario

• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater systems

• Experience with Info Works and modelling software

• Advanced MS Office Suite skills
