In this role, you will perform advanced modeling and simulation tasks using EMTP-type software to conduct power system studies. Your expertise will guide the analysis of transient phenomena and aid in interconnection planning for renewable resources. You will also take part in mentoring fellow engineers to enhance their EMTP capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct modeling and post-processing of power systems using EMTP software
• Lead dynamic and transient simulations for complex control systems
• Analyze transient responses and insulation coordination factors
• Coach team members on power system modeling and simulations
• Complete complex power system analyses for grid interconnection
Requirements:
• Over 5 years experience in power system simulation
• Proficient with network reduction software applications
• Strong understanding of ISO and grid planning dynamics
• Experience collaborating with ISO, RTOs, and utilities
• Bachelor’s in electrical power engineering or higher
