Water and Wastewater Design Technologist

As a Design Technologist II, you’ll play a critical role in reviewing designs and preparing essential contract documents for water and wastewater projects. This position calls for a collaborative individual who can engage effectively with internal teams, consultants, and the public, ensuring that projects meet regional standards. You'll also evaluate design alternatives and oversee project reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing project proposals and contract drawings

• Review documents and provide technical comments

• Prepare preliminary design alternatives and recommendations

• Carry out drainage design analysis for development projects

• Conduct site inspections for accuracy and compliance

Requirements:

• Three-year diploma in Engineering Technology or related field

• Minimum three years’ experience in municipal water and wastewater

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices

• Experience with MS Office and specialized software

• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver's license
