Credit Manager

Reporting to the Controller, the Credit Manager oversees the credit management process, including assessing creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and minimizing bad debts. As the A/R Manager, the A/R Manager oversees the entire receivables process, from invoicing to collections, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers, reviewing credit reports from various credit reporting agencies and input from the Ontario Roofing and Construction credit group.
• Oversee opening of customer cash and terms accounts in company’s ERP solution.
• Negotiate and regularly review customer’s credit limits and terms based on company policy.
• Safeguard the company’s financial interests while maintaining positive relationships with our diverse customer base.
• Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions, ensuring timely processing of payments and reconciling customer accounts.
• Keep management aware of pertinent issues and information warranting their knowledge, action and/or resolution.
• Oversee and manage relationship with company’s debit and credit card processing provider.
• Oversee documentation and logistics of export shipments.
• Collaborate with our retail branches to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable, cash handling, credit policies and procedures.

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role preferably in an administrative retail or building supplies industry.
• College or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, and or credit related field.
• Working through CCP program or accredited designation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major ERP software.
• Experience using major CRM solution.
