Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Parks & Property Services, the Trail Ambassador will promote and provide the public who use the Town’s trails with information on trail etiquette, cycling speeds, and overall trail safety; data collection by monitoring use, recording and tracking concern/complaints, etc.; answer general questions from public.

Job Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a post-Secondary college program in public or business administration, customer service or related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with little supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, public relations, problem/complaint resolution and mediation skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills (both verbal and written) at an intermediate level.
  • Must be able to exhibit maturity and sound judgment.
  • Must be customer service oriented and use tact and diplomacy to deal courteously and effectively with the public.
  • Intermediate computer skills in data entry, word processing and other pertinent software i.e. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Class “G” Driver’s License in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
