Newmarket IT Security Risk Specialist

Become an IT Security & Risk Specialist with the Town of Newmarket, ON, in a hybrid work environment. This full-time role focuses on the design and upkeep of security infrastructure.

Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure & Cyber Security Services, you will manage security solutions to prevent data breaches and ensure compliance with corporate policies. Your primary responsibilities will include investigating incidents and implementing new security technologies. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to uphold security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee deployment of security technology solutions

• Analyze and remedy security breaches as they occur

• Collaborate on the implementation of security technologies

• Develop and update security policies and procedures

• Maintain relationships with internal and external partners

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• CISSP or equivalent certification desired

• Experience in an enterprise-level security role

• Knowledge of diverse operating systems and security infrastructure

• Effective communication and analytical skills
