ABOUT

THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Maintenance & Operations, assists with maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment for staff and visitors of the assigned facility by performing and supervising scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems in accordance with divisional policies and procedures. Monitors and provides work direction of mechanical and electrical staff.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Assigns tasks, provides work direction and instructions to Building Operators and Maintenance staff; monitors work progress; updates the Supervisor on work concerns.

Provides updates to the Supervisor on issues regarding facility maintenance, facility operations or projects.

Assists with the development and maintenance of operating procedures on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, diesel generator, air handling units, water softeners, etc.

Maintains and updates the computerized preventative maintenance program, monitors scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and tenant requests.

Provides reports on the progress of contracted services and projects, as required.

Utilizes environmental test equipment such as Digital Temperature/Humidity/Air Velocity Meters, CO2, multi-gas monitors, and chemical supplies in a safe manner, according to all manufacturers’ directions; reports malfunctions or problems immediately to the Supervisor to ensure prompt action.
