Southlake Residential Care Environmental Manager

Oversee environmental services at Southlake Residential Care Village as the Environmental Services Manager. You will enhance resident safety and comfort through effective management in maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry.

Reporting to the Executive Director, your role focuses on improving service delivery amid the requirements set forth by Extendicare and the Long-Term Care Act 2021. This position will require you to understand critical standards in environmental services, ensuring our residents live with dignity in a secure space. Your leadership will foster a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement annual goals alongside environmental service teams

• Maintain records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards

• Conduct inspections and coordinate departmental resource management

• Oversee contractor services and safety protocols

• Manage and mentor staff across three departments effectively

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in environmental management preferred

• Solid knowledge of long-term care operations necessary

• WHIMIS and Health and Safety certifications required

• Proven ability to manage physical demands of the role

• Strong leadership and multitasking skills in high-pressure settings
