Junior Welder

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Junior Welder to assist with the fabrication and finishing of miscellaneous metal and structural steel products. This role involves welding, grinding, cutting, material handling, and general shop support duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Assist in the fabrication of railings, miscellaneous metal and structural steel products.
• Cut and prepare pickets and other metal components according to specifications.
• Perform basic welding and grinding tasks under supervision.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete general labour duties to support production operations.
• Load and unload materials manually and using a forklift.
• Assist with painting and finishing work in the paint booth.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience or recent graduate of a welding trade school.
• Basic knowledge of welding, grinding, and metalworking tools.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
• Ability to lift and move materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Shop/manufacturing environment.
• Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and manual material handling.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
• Exposure to welding, grinding, painting, and fabrication processes.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday 42.5hrs)

Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
