Registered Practical Nurse

Deliver compassionate care as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Integrated Stroke Unit at Southlake Health, Newmarket. This full-time position emphasizes your nursing skills in a collaborative environment.

As a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse, you will support patients in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Your role centers on providing comprehensive care, working with both patients and families while adhering to the College of Nurses of Ontario's standards. Collaborate with Registered Nurses and the healthcare team to address complex health issues on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-focused care within RPN scope

• Collaborate with healthcare team for complex health needs

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and emergency codes

• Document and assess ongoing patient health status

• Assist in orientation of new staff and students

Requirements:

• RPN diploma from a recognized nursing school

• Current BLS Certification required

• Recent acute general medicine nursing experience preferred

• Knowledge of geriatric medical conditions

• RPN Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
