This position directly reports to the Director of Care and involves assessing residents, documenting vital signs, and implementing physician orders. You will also organize care functions and lead a team of caregivers, ensuring compliance with nursing standards.
Your role is essential in promoting a compassionate environment for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Observe and document residents' vital signs and health conditions
• Create and evaluate personalized care plans for residents
• Direct restorative and palliative care programs
• Supervise nursing staff and support new employee training
• Review staff performance and address issues as needed
Requirements:
• Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Must be registered or eligible with the Registered Practical Nurses Association
• First Aid and BLS Certificate required
• In-depth knowledge of nursing and health care practices
• Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
