Emergency Department Registered Practical Nurse

Join Southlake Health as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Emergency Department, Newmarket, ON. This part-time role focuses on patient care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and adherence to nursing standards.

As a key member of the Emergency Department team, you will provide patient and family-focused care while working under the College of Nurses of Ontario's guidelines. Your responsibilities will include effective communication, collaboration with Registered Nurses, and ongoing patient assessments. You will also assist in developing care plans and mentoring new staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care as per RPN scope

• Assist with patient assessments and documentation

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care

• Implement and evaluate care plans effectively

• Support new staff and students during orientation

Requirements:

• RPN diploma from a recognized institution

• Current BLS Certification mandatory

• RPN Certificate in good standing with the CNO

• Minimum one year of Emergency Department experience

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
