Emergency Department Registered Practical Nurse

Deliver patient-centred nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse in Newmarket, Ontario, using clinical judgment and effective communication. This permanent part-time role requires 12-hour shifts, nights, and weekends.
At Southlake Health, the Registered Practical Nurse models clinical excellence within CNO standards and hospital policies. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses and interprofessional teams while supporting patients with complex health issues. The position emphasizes assessment, documentation, care planning, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient and family-focused care within RPN scope
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Assess and document patient health status continuously
Support care plan development and evaluate effectiveness
Provide peer consultation and clinical support as needed
Requirements:
Recognized RPN diploma and current BLS certification
Good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Recent Emergency Department experience preferred
Complete required violence prevention and splinting education
Demonstrated communication, organization, assessment, and teamwork skills
